They say that the famous ‘milk cream’ was whipped up by Procopio, the inventor of gelato, in honor of the prince and future king Louis XV at another grand French castle—Chantilly. True to its passion for the 18th century and its perfumed, refined court, with its scent-embellished jewels, fans and even fountains, Marly has reinvented this very cosmetic note. As with every Parfums de Marly creation, Oriana is full of references. Formula

The olfactory pyramid of this gourmand, floral and fruity fragrance is designed entirely as a variation on texture. A mille-feuille of flaky sweetness, softness and sensuality, energy and light.

On the skin, the noblest ingredients in perfumery unite with groundbreaking molecules in the exaltation of a deep pink bouquet—like its bottle.

Top Notes: The Parfums de Marly signature citrus splash of mandarin, Italian bergamot and grapefruit – harbor a suave orange blossom and blackcurrant heart.

Heart Notes: A crisp, frosted, raspberry heart note is placed on an airy sweetness of chantilly cream and incredible marshmallow.

Base Notes: Musk mallow, used in the 18th century to perfume and powder hair, distills a fresh and clean feeling while warm and comforting musk creates an expansive petticoat or cocoon-like bubble.

What was the creative idea behind the project?

(Nathalie Lorson) We worked on a new, very modern, ultra feminine addiction with indulgent undertones.

(Hamid Merati-Kashani) Julien Sprecher had a very specific vision of the olfactory nature and appearance of the fragrance. Oriana is a full-body fragrance that adds a new dimension to the Parfums de Marly collection.

Tell us about the key ingredients:

(Nathalie) The fragrance is inspired by chantilly cream, for the first time combined with marshmallow. Its sensuality is expressed by an orange blossom from Morocco, of exceptional quality – like the ingredients of the citrus top notes – mandarin and bergamot from Italy, harvested by the best producers in the world. The heart of the perfume is based on red fruits (raspberry and blackcurrant), which add a tangy, sparkling, joyful note.

(Hamid) The that combines musk base adds volume with the marshmallow to give even more power and sensuality.

How do you imagine the Oriana woman?

(Hamid) Spontaneous, dynamic and unpredictable.
